Polyethylene foams

Polyethylene (PE) foam is ideal for applications which require closed cell foams with dampening, shock- and impact-absorption, thermal insulation, high-strength and durability in demanding conditions.

As foam and rubber manufacturers, we create products from a wide range of branded foams including Evazote, Plastazote, EVA foam, Alveolit, Jiffycell and Stratocell, all of which offer particular properties. All are ideal for application in various sectors.

Construction industry

With its heat-resistance and shock-absorbing properties, polyethylene foam products are popular in the construction and building sector, including the HVAC field. Due to their closed cell structure, PE foam is resistant to dirt and moisture, while their heat-absorbing properties offer many benefits.

Transportation

PE foams have been widely adopted for transportation applications as a result of their shock absorbing, dampening, insulation and heat resistance properties. In the marine industry, their inherent buoyancy properties ensure polyethylene foams and rigid foams are now widely used in life vests and other buoyancy aids.

Medical and healthcare

High tear resistance, durability and flexibility make polyethylene foam the ideal solution across the healthcare and medical sector, including use in beds, bedding, medical supports and mats.

Sports and leisure

Because PE foams can be moulded at high temperatures, uses for polyethylene foams within the sports and leisure industry are truly vast: from sports and yoga mats to footwear and protective clothing for contact sports.

One example of such an application we have developed and produced is the Swimfin (www.swimfin.co.uk).

Military and emergency services

Once again, due to its ability to be moulded at high temperatures, polyethylene foam is the ideal material for producing vital protective gear for the military and emergency services such as body armour and footwear.
