Sound reduction foam for local cafeteria
by Duncan Geddes
Last month we assisted a client in deadening noise within a busy cafeteria that has an adjoining flat. The architect and builders who are renovating the cafe, had a problem with the owner of the flat who complained that the noise coming from the cafe would cause a lot of problems. The builder contacted Technical Foam Services to see if we could suggest a material which would help reduce the noise. With our extensive knowledge or acoustic foams we recommended a high density foam with self-adhesive backing.
To stand up to the architects regulations we agreed to be the foam supplier of a Class O rated high density foam. This material will absorb low frequency sound, to ensure the noise from the cafe will not disturb the people in the flat.
We will supply the sound-deadening foam with an egg-box style surface, which helps increase the absorption rating and also makes the foam look aesthetically pleasing.
If you have any issues with noise pollution, and require recommendations and advice of potential sound absorbing foams, please get in touch with us and we are sure to be able to help you in your search for soundproofing foam. Read more of our case studies.
